3 Days Lake Manyara | Ngorongoro Camping Safaris
Day
1 – Arusha- Lake Manyara
National park
Depart for Lake Manyara
National Park at around
0830am, famous for its tree
climbing lions and large
flocks of flamingoes. The
park contains five distinct
vegetation zones and is of
scenic beauty. Dinner and
overnight at Twiga/Jambo
campsite.
The Lake Manyara National
park is serene and beautiful
with main attractions of a
rich bird life,
tree-climbing lions, its
elephants, and hippos that
you can see at closer range
than most other places. Lake
Manyara is an alkaline lake
and at certain times of the
year hosts thousands of
flamingos and a diversity of
other bird life. Although it
is one of the smallest
parks, its vegetation is so
diverse enabling it to host
a variety of wildlife
habitats.
Day
2: Lake Manyara - Ngorongoro
crater
After breakfast take a
Picnic Lunch with you
descend 670m into the crater
floor for game viewing,
breaking
for lunch at the Lerai
picnic site. The crater is
14.5km. Wide and is home to
all the big five and hence
the same may be seen.
Hippos, cheetah, antelopes
and the spotted hyena are
other species commonly seen
as
well as flamingoes on the
crater lakes. Dinner and
overnight at Simba campsite.
DAY
03: Lake Manyara – Arusha
After breakfast depart for
Arusha arriving by lunch
time. Afterwards drive to
JRO/Nairobi.
