From the open
plains of the Masai
Mara to the waters
of lake Nakuru and
the swamps of
Amboseli, this
safari takes in
three of the most
picturesque regions
in Kenya. It also
provides the perfect
opportunity to spot
the BIG FIVE and to
capture some diverse
scenery
Day
01: Nairobi
Upon arrival in Kenya's
capital city you are met and
transferred to the Nairobi
safari club which is based in
the Nairobi City Centre for
bed and breakfast for one
night. The hotel has a
restaurant and an exclusive
swimming pool, Dinner on own
arrangement.
Day 02: Nairobi - Masai
Mara
Depart Nairobi after
breakfast , and drive
through farming country and
up through the Great Rift
Valley escarpment to the
Masai Mara Game Reserve.
Elephant, Cape Buffalo,
Giraffe, Topi, Gazelle are
all in abundance,
and during the
months of July to
September the great
migration of
wildebeest and
zebras spill over
from the Serengeti.
The sight of these
beasts legging it
across the Mara
River, avoiding both
the crocodiles in
the river, and the
predators harassing
them from behind is
amazing, and the
topic of some of the
most spectacular
photography ever
seen. In the
afternoon there is a
game drive followed
by dinner and
overnight at the
Mara Sopa Lodge or
Keekorok lodge

Day
03: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Full day spent
exploring the park
in search of the big

safari can be
arranged at an extra
cost of US$ 425 per
person. Dinner and
overnight stay at
Mara Sopa Lodge or
Keekorok lodge
The Mara offers
wildlife in such
variety and
abundance that it is
difficult to
believe: over 450
species of animals
have been recorded
here. You will
easily see lions,
rhinos, hippos,
crocodiles, giraffe,
wildebeests, zebras,
buffalo, warthogs,
hyenas, jackals,
wild dogs, buffalo,
leopard, many kinds
of antelopes and
elephant. It is in
the Mara that
perhaps the most
spectacular event of
the natural world
takes place. This is
the annual migration
of millions of
wildebeest and zebra
from the Serengeti
(Tanzania) in search
of water and
pasture. Following
on their heels are
the predators of the
savanna- lion,
cheetah, wild dog,
jackal, hyena and
vultures.
Day 04: Masai Mara - Rift
Valley Lakes
Depart the Mara Region via
Naivasha to Lake Nakuru for
lunch. Afternoon game drive
in lake Nakuru National
Park. Overnight Lake Nakuru Lodge
-
Lake Nakuru's claim
to fame is anchored
on its flamingo's
and the over 400
species of birds
found here. The lake
itself is a soda
lake on the floor of
the rift valley. The
sight of the at
times millions of
flamingos is quite
spectacular. From a
distance the lake
appears ringed in
pink. The Lake has
also earned a
reputation as an
important haven for
endangered species-
particularly the
Rothschild Giraffe
and the black and
white rhino. Lions,
waterbuck, buffalo
and baboons are all
residents here
-
Day 05: Lake Nakuru to
Amboseli
After breakfast, drive to
Amboseli lunch enroute.
Afternoon game drive. Dinner
and Overnight Amboseli
Serena Lodge
-
Day 06: Amboseli National
Park.
Morning and afternoon game
drives. Dinner and Overnight
Amboseli Serena Lodge.
-
Amboseli National
Park is the second
most popular park of
Kenya (after the
Masai Mara National
Reserve) as it lies
in the shadows of
the mighty Mount
Kilimanjaro, the
highest mountain in
Africa, it’s
closeness to Nairobi
(160 miles or 260
kilometres south of
the city) and the
good opportunities
for wildlife
viewing. This makes
it very touristy.
